SIGGnificantly better.....

Than plastic.

I've long admired SIGG's sleek reusable bottles, lost my water bottle a while back (fell outta my bike) and been meaning to replace it.

Then Meredith from Truth Be Told called - she'd caught sight of BYO, and wanted to connect on the reusables tip - SIGG is one of their clients.

I mentioned I'd been eying a SIGG at REI, and a few days later received this awesome assortment of styley bottles to share with friends! Very cool of her.

A swiss company, SIGG has been making these since 1908. They've got the funky, hip look down, the "bottle as fashion accessory" appeal nailed, and best of all, they help reduce untold quantities of plastic water bottles from landfills and oceans.

Oh, and if you don't see any SIGG styles that match your color pallet, create your own on their new MySIGG space.

Sigg bottles are awesome! I had one of these as my water bottle for about 5 years back when I worked outdoors. They weren't as hip as they are now and they came in only solid colors. One for water and one for fuel if I recall correctly. I had the red fuel one for my water. It was exposed to the elements and abused every single day and once I accidentally dropped it out of a helicopter and found it again. It was a bit dented, but always worked like it was brand new. Up until the day it was stolen from me.

Sigh. I should buy another one now that you got me reminiscing =)

Wow.....dropped from a helicopter and "a bit dented"? Thats a crazy and intriguing visual. I'll have to drop you a note "off blog" to hear more about that story! Thanks for checking in, appreciate your support!

I thought you might be interested in a new contest we are running with SIGG, called SIGGART Design Contest, which aims to find the next Eco-Friendly design for their one-of-a-kind reusable and recyclable customized bottles.

A percentage of sales from the winning bottle will go to a non-profit organization called Surf Riders, which fights to keep our oceans and beaches clean.

The contest asks you to design a concept based on your personal “Eco-Style,” a design that represents your eco-outlook on life.

The winner’s bottle will be produced by SIGG in time for this year’s holiday season and sold exclusively at Patagonia and on http://www.MySIGG.com. The winner will also receive 100 bottles with his or her design to share with friends and colleagues.

I hope you can share this opportunity and invite anyone interested to participate in the contest.

The contest will run through June 1st and is hosted at http://www.MySIGG.com/SIGGART.

If you have any questions, just email us at siggart(@)sigg.com and we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you,
Marina
